~I provide you with evidence based information for you to research so that you can make informed decisions about your care during pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum.

~I will have on-call status 24 hours a day beginning three weeks prior to the estimated due date (EDD) until the birth of your baby.

~I offer the use of my birth pool, where hospitals allow.

~I provide continuous labor support during active labor until the birth of your baby.

~I provide non-medical comfort measures such as position changes, guided visualization and relaxation, light touch massage, EFT (emotion freedom technique), hypnosis and NLP(neuro-linguistic programming) and other techniques for comfort management.

~I help maintain a calm and peaceful birth environment, as allowed by medical staff.

~I will create a birth log as circumstances allow.

~I stay one to two hours after birth or until you settled, and breastfeeding has been initiated.

~I provide phone support as needed during the immediate postpartum period for postpartum care, breastfeeding support and newborn care.

~I arrange one postpartum meeting: This gives us an opportunity to review your labor and birth, and to give feedback concerning your birth experience. At this time I will also answer any general questions regarding breastfeeding, perineal care and other concerns.
